Intuitive Birth
Educate Your Instincts
Evidence-based, inclusive, nonjudgmental birth education for all birthing locations, coping preferences, and even the undecided.
— Is This For You?
You're in the right place if this sounds familiar
You want to walk into birth knowing the physiology of labor and feeling confident in your choices.
You're not sure if you want an epidural or unmedicated birth, and you'd like to understand your options without anyone nudging you either way. Or, you’re sure about your coping preferences and you want support and actionable tools for accomplishing your goal, or figuring out best timing, and offsetting associated risks.
Your partner wants to show up and be supportive rather than standing there hoping for the best.
You want to understand induction, interventions, and monitoring before you're in labor being asked to decide.
A Note On What This Isn’t
There is no push toward unmedicated birth, no judgment about epidurals, and no hierarchy of birth experiences. The goal is for you to arrive at your birth informed and grounded in your ability to make educated, intuitive decisions and participate in your medical care.
— What You’ll Learn
Intuitive Birth comprehensively guides you through birth and the transition into parenthood
Childbirth education spanning from pregnancy to labor, coping and partner support, newborn feeding, and early postpartum taught without fear-based framing or a hidden agenda about how your birth and fourth trimester should look.
Physiology of Birth
The physiology of labor and birth, how and why labor progresses, including physiological norms and deviations, and how to work with your body rather than against it.
Partner Support & Advocacy
Concrete scripts and strategies to help partners offer steady, effective support and advocacy while also staying grounded and present for their own experience of this life-changing event.
Interventions & Augmentation
Induction, epidurals, monitoring, assisted delivery, and cesareans. Common uses, medical necessity, risks/benefits as well as when each typically is recommended, and what to ask before you agree to anything. Educating your instincts to trust and recognize the physiological process of birth while also knowing when and why to accept medical support.
Lactation & Newborn Feeding Foundations
What to expect in the first hours and days of feeding, with support for all feeding preferences, including breastfeeding/bodyfeeding/lactation, formula supplementation, and combination feeding. We’ll cover prenatal preparation, common early feeding patterns, and how birth interventions, such as IV fluids, can affect early lactation, so you can enter early parenthood feeling informed, supported, and ready to feed your baby in the way that works best for your family.
Coping & Environment
Practical tools that work in any setting. We’ll explore movement, positioning, breath, comfort measures, and how to prepare your space and support team to maximize coping. We’ll also cover epidural decision-making, including benefits, risks, timing, ways to support your body before and after pain relief, and how to recognize when medicated coping support may be right for you.
The Fourth Trimester: Postpartum Foundations
What to expect as your body heals, how to protect your recovery, newborn care fundamentals, and how to build support before you need it. We’ll also explore how to care for your relationship during this pivotal threshold into parenthood.

Not at all. This class is for anyone who wants to understand their options and feel prepared, regardless of how they plan to cope. We cover epidurals, unmedicated coping, and everything in between with the same level of care and without judgment.
-
No problem. Replays are available for all sessions. Community and Threshold students also have the weekly Circle to ask questions and catch up on anything that came up while watching the replay.

Yes, and it is encouraged. Partners and support people are welcome at all live sessions at no extra cost. Replay access is available for anyone whose schedule does not line up with the live times.

— What Our Clients Say
Testimonials
“Before taking Alaska's classes, I was primarily focused on preparing for feeding and breastfeeding and didn't realize how much there was to learn about birth itself. Through her education, I gained so much more than I expected and learned how to prepare mentally, physically, and emotionally for labor and delivery. She gave me the tools and confidence to have a meaningful and powerful birth experience.”
— Franchesca N. “Alaska is so well informed and explained things so clearly about the birth process and what to expect at the hospital during delivery. She’s incredibly smart but can convey things in such a down to earth manner, plus she’s also very very funny. Alaska is helpful, a wealth of knowledge, plus someone you would want to hang out with even outside of the baby-having world!”
— Heather G.“Alaska tells it how it is in a comforting "no stupid questions" type of way. I have felt from some other books and groups like a bit of an imposter in the world of soon to be motherhood but with Alaska I understood everything that she was saying and felt comfortable asking her. She is a kind human with real life experience and it's invaluable!”
