Meet Your Educator

Alaska McFadden is a birth doula, lactation counselor (CBC), and Birthing Advocacy Certified Childbirth Educator that has supported over 200 families since becoming a birthworker in 2019.
In addition to working with birthing families Alaska has two small children of her own and knows firsthand the importance of community during the pivotal life change of becoming a parent.

FAQ:

Is this class only for people seeking unmedicated coping?
- Not at all. This class supports all coping preferences—including epidural, unmedicated, and undecided. We’ll cover risks/benefits, decision timing, and how to advocate for what you want.
What if I miss live?
- Life happens! Replays will be available, as well as community meetings for those in Tiers 2 and 3. You’re also welcome to watch the replay if you need a bit more time to take notes, absorb information, etc.
Can my partner(s)/ birth support person(s) attend?
- I encourage it! Replay will be available for those whose schedules don’t align with our meeting times.
